we cannot go backwards and follow the policies of romney- ryan. who do you trust with your future is? who do you trust with their families? virginians, to do what you did four years ago. let's continue to move forward with the policies of barack obama. with that, allow us to bring up somebody that has been an ally and friend for so many years, somebody who has literally stood by the side of the president. he is the same man that we met so many years ago. allow us to bring up our friend, our brother, reggie love. >> that was a fiery speech right there. thanks to everyone for being here today. it is a beautiful day in norfolk. this beautiful o.d.u. campus reminds me of north carolina a little bit. >> boo. >> thank you, sharon, for all of your hard work. i have had the pleasure of working with barack obama, even before we all called him president. he was the same as he is now. extremely intelligent, extremely diligent, he exudes the type of leadership we need for our country. a calm strength and vision for the future for this country. it is not just

. >> the first two debates were paul ryan, mitt romney. the numbers that i have have shown a significant movement in the senior vote, but we're also, you know -- look, since 1952 dwight eisenhower there have been 15 presidential elections. democrats have won four. each one of those four johnson, carter, clinton, and obama have been won by people who eventually won the election. in florida he is behind. i mean, obama. if he is behind in florida, according to florida history, he is not going to win the general election. >> let's get this straight on medicare. the $700 billion plus that al and other republicans speak about coming out of medicare just so all of florida seniors knows, that's coming out of insurance companies and providers who are charging too much. >> providers are -- but, okay, let me just -- i don't want to get into the weeds on this number because nobody ever comes to an agreement on it, but a provider is a doctor, and what we know is that those folks on medicare have to struggle sometimes to find a doctor who will accept me

i think on both scores, ryan will really help romney. we have to realize how much of obama's appeal is generational. when you you are putting on a v.p. debate with a 25 or 25-year, i guess, difference in age, and one who is kind of a haggard regular old-time bomb baftic politician, and the other, a very incisive, sharp, focused policy person, i think that you really are going to see ryan have a tremendous edge. the other thing is that ryan wrote the romney program. this is not just a candidate for v.p., his the intellectual leader of the republican party today. for him to be up there debating in a political debate is like, you know, it's like mickey mantle coming to bat because he -- he wrote all of these programs. he knows these budgets. he knows these figures and biden is only vaguely aqaipted with them. i think ryan is going to do extremely well and that will be decisive. i think we are looking now at a whole new band of states coming into play, michigan, pennsylvania, new jersey. a bunch of states that nobody would have thought near
